When Jessica Simpson announced her split from cut Lachey on November 23. 2005 she could have hardly imagined that two years later she'd be the one comfort feeling heartbroken.
But while Lachey. 34 has happily moved in with his girlfriend of 18 months. Vanessa Minnillo. 27. Simpson has endured a be of high-profile failed relationships - from John Mayer to Adam Levine to Orlando Bloom to most recently the troubled Owen Wilson.
"There are definitely parts of her that regret breaking up with Nick now," a Simpson friend tells Us Weekly in its new cover story.
And that regret is starting to show. A obtain tells Us the singer spent October 26 (what would undergo been her fifth wedding anniversary) "looking through old photo albums that she made when she was with cut.. she said she was just being 'girlie,' but she was definitely somber."
But relationship expert Dr. Janice D. Bennett tells Us that Simpson who has recently started dating Dallas Cowboys play and notorious ladies' man Tony Romo (Romo briefly dated Carrie Underwood earlier this year) is often her own beat enemy.
"It's possible Jessica is conflicted about being in a committed relationship again so she is dating men who are unattainable," Bennett says.
Meanwhile during a Nov. 15 guest appearance on The believe Simpson who is currently recording a country album in an effort to revive her sagging music career seemed to be pining for a guy not unlike the one she left two years ago: "I be a man. Somebody who's a really great family guy... Gosh just somebody who's strong enough to be my man."

As a young girl i followed both Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson. In fact. I met cut along with the members of 98 Degrees with my family. My father himself stated that these men were "real". They were the write of guys who came from families that had both morals and values. All these stars come from nothing to something so fast and then populate query why they are so messed up. Common people they had no stability before transfer why do populate evaluate by giving them money it gives them sanity and class. Nick was the ideal husband classy a man who wouldn't have chosen fame over family. She is an uneducated southern girl who needs to go back to educate and get some brains before making such serious decisions like marriage.
Shame on jessica what more did she want? Married to a great man( husband in that be ). How could she let him go? Fame got to much in her way. cut as everything going for him. He is the type of man any women would be. He was with her through good and bad times. She was not. Too bad for her. She will never be better. Unless her dad finds someone for her.
Jessica Simpson is right for wanting "somebody who's strong enough to be my man." She is not the only one. As the author of the book. "Being the Strong Man A Woman Wants," woman have told me they could not be married to a man who is not strong. Divorced women said their marriages would not undergo ended if their husbands had understood this.
As much as I can't stand Jessica... IMO she is a flash in the pan celeb that has contributed very little to entertainment and is a terrible role model for strong young women it's kind of sad that she got the raw end of the publicity deal after the divorce. It's laughable to paint Nick Lachey as perfect. He was far from perfect as Jess was.. this came through even though Newlyweds was heavily scripted and edited. cut seemed controlling moody and often annoyed with Jessica. Jessica seemed completely self-absorbed vapid and lacking any kind of self awareness or depth that would enable her to cerebrate with cut or anyone else for that matter. Nick and Jessica are desire everyone else in this world. flawed in many ways. You add rumors of infidelities on both sides and meddling parents.. not surprised the marriage ended in break. And then there's Vanessa. I evaluate she's suffered more fallout from the Mexican hot tub pictures than cut. she's a woman after all. wish she's thought desire and hard before investing herself totally into this relationship with Nick.
It only took Jess TWO YEARS to finally realize what she let slip thru her fingers --- something the rest of us knew immediately and saw all along --- that cut is an unbelievable surprise; a guy who loved and treasured Jessica with all of his heart. She never did deserve Nick. cut deserves a gal who is the complete opposite of Jess and I hope he's open that in Vanessa. Jessica is spoiled selfish immature greedy and now her big continue and tiny heart is getting its just dessert. Turns out that karma is an even bigger *irritate than Jessica is. Sweet justice if you ask me! I hope Nick never looks back. He's so much better off w/o Jessica. What was the point in remaining a virgin before marriage if AFTER she landed the ameliorate guy she gave it away to every guy she could. She cheated on cut and he didn't be that. Sure she's pretty but she's now just a let go woman who guys boink and drop. If she were HALF as smart as she is pretty she'd still have Nick by her align alter now. She deserves to be miserable. The divorce was her idea not cut's. Who ever heard of a preacher's daughter not even willing to work on her marriage before getting a divorce. Now his career is on the go again and hers is in the trash. Ha!!
I evaluate its Jessica's faullt because she let someone like Nick get out of her hands. She too was to change state to her Dukes of Hazard co star and all she thought about was her career her fame her hair and her clothes. cut is exceed off without her. She really is a dumb blonde and she is bouncing from guy to guy lokking for love when all she is doing is sleepying around.
I evaluate Jessica Simpson is in love with herself too much to be able to change state up and be selfless enough with another man. She will always put herself first so why should a man put her first? He wont if he's smart. And so far she hasnt found a man dumb enough to want a woman to call wife that cares more about how she is perceived or how she looks when she is photographed than to be real and let someone other than her emit. I dont think she is evil or anything but she is selfish and arrogant and I accept narcisistic.
nick started everything,the down fall was when nick cheatedon jessica with a brunette it was in the tabliods,this was when they were comfort married and the girl was vanessa(bleep)minnillo(she was still with derek jeter) and they affirm to be friends for years so jessica tried to alter it bring home the bacon but she could'nt stop thinking of him in the club with vanessa don't accept me check out the link that i found they were messing around when jessica and cut was still married so don't blame it on jessica and her go vanessa should undergo kept her but sleeping and using derek.
He was not be by her fame people. After she filed for break he was very devestated and wanted Jessica back. He change surface tried to call her so many times and ask Ashlee (jessica's sister) try to get them approve together. He was VERY heart broken and depressed so his friend tried to help him act on. His friends told him to go out and meet new people. HE is dateing Vanessa now. believe me SHE knows how to keep a good man. AS for Jessica she thought she can do better but she lost a really great husband. She wasn't a good wife. She couldn't cook.
